Noahs Ark………….?
Ok look at this,
The Ark was
Height: 45 feet
Length: 450 feet
Width: 75 feet
and made from wood
The Titanic (Old British ship that hit the ice berg)
Height: 175 feet
Length: 882 feet
Width: 92 feet
Made from steel
Capacity : 3,547 people and enough provisions for a couple weeks.
Where as the Ark had over 50,000 animals (this includes cutting out all the variations), 2 million insects, 7 people and enough provisions for a year….
SOMETHING doesn’t add up here?
My question is, how would the animals not freeze being so high up in the atmosphere (29,955 ft, 20 feet higher then Everest)
How did the Fresh water fish live when the salt water mixed with the fresh water too?
It does if you understood the actual "world" that was described and even theorized by science. It wasn’t the entire globe and even history acknowledges a great flood in the area described.
Behold the series on the History channel showing all the scientific evidence. Go google it then come back while you we behold your gaping jaw. The flood happened and much PROOF exists. It wasn’t global and the "world" you live in doesn’t always mean the entire globe. Stop talking out of context and grow a brain.

They will only answer you by suggesting that God has no limitations, in the end it all amounts to a great load of bullsh…..!

very good question, one answer? it didn’t happen

The Noah’s Ark story is an allegory - a teaching story. It is an inspired adaptation of several earlier "great flood" stories, such as the epic of Gilgamesh.
Only the fundamentalists try to take this and the other Genesis stories literally. While the majority of Christians (including Catholics) and even most Jews know that the language is metaphorical.
The message is what’s important - the moral truth - not the wording.

1. No one actually knows the dimensions of a "Cubit". The footage you use is guestimated.
2. Noah’s Ark is fiction… Taken from the oral traditions and history of earlier cultures and twisted to fit the people at the time of the writing of the holy texts.

They didn’t freeze because they were enclosed. Fish adapted to their environments.

i don’t think tape measure were around back then so we only can go by what they thought it was or how they measured things at the time..as for the fish..well why would he need to put them on the ark if the whole world was being swallowed in water.besides there could have been more than one ark and that was the only one recorded..or maybe that was the only area that got flooded..I still want to know why they forgot the unicorns..lol

Behold user "Highway" above for an example of how some Christians rationalize the impossible. Notice that he doesn’t even address the points you’ve listed, and he’s reduced to claiming that his scripture says something other than what it actually says.

You bring up some of the many absurdities in the tale of Noah’s Ark. I don’t see how people could argue that it’s literally true and keep a straight face. Many modern Christians and Jews now say that the story is simply a teaching myth. It’s not a literal historical event, but instead a fable meant to give a lesson about redemption.

You didn’t include the "recreation areas" on the titanic nor the engine room etc etc. If all the water on earth covered the land it would not be 29,000 feet, since the mountains and the valleys leveled out. According to the Bible.

There are some stories that aren’t meant to be understood literally. That is one of them, it’s the message of the story that we look at. God clearing the world of wickedness is one interpretation.

the thing with the bible - a story may resonate with you and help you greatly… or it may not… stories of truth are not nescasarily true stories…metophorical compasses…. arguing over what did and didn’t happen - is kind of irrelivent… lol if the stories were pointless the books wouldnt still be selling after all this time.

believe it is a story not to be taken literally

You’re pretty smart for a guy who calls himself Forrest Gump, perhaps you should change your name.
But anyway, yeah, you make an excellent point. But maybe Everest wasn’t very high back then, maybe mountains suddenlly got VERY tall in the past thousand years through a miracle, we’ll never know.
But yeah, come to think of it, how could that entire story be true? There must be some exaggerations here and there. Maybe some land animals and insects were made for the water back then and didn’t need the ark or they just made MANY different species since those 4,000 years faster than people have scientifically asumed. Who knows? Because assuming science is true and they disagree with the concept of possible miracles, then there’s no way the story can be entirely be true.
I’m not a Christian and I think many Christian beliefs are ridiculous. Also, don’t you think the wood would have rotted, leaked, and broke in half given all the weight of all that life onboard? And It doesn’t support it like a metal ship could. Metal is much stronger than wood.

Come on now Forrest, science long ago proved that the ark story never happened.

Its simple, God has control over everything. If he did not want them to freeze then I am sure he could make a way. The story of the ark is true, but is a story of how God himself will make a way for us to be with him. If you notice in the story, Noah did not shut the door, God himself shut it. If we listen to God in our lives, he will make a way of escape from evil. He did this with his Son Jesus Christ. The ark is a representation of God himself. Noah followed Gods commands and God saved him and his family.
Its a really great story that emulates God love toward us.

The bible is not a literal text but parables. The problem is that so many people take it to be literal. If you approach a lot of the bible or religion in general from a logical perspective it doesn’t add up. The virgin birth? Resurrection?
Loon | Feb 06, 2010
Of course something doesn’t add up…first of all there were no aquatic animals on the boat..they could have survived in the water…the insects were brought by vegetation…God had Noah bring animals that He had created in the beginning…therefore the number would be drastically lower…All the species that exist today have been altered from their original state…like the dog, how many breeds of these do we have and where did they originate from…easy grey wolf…people get into all the hermeneutics into this and its absolutely silly…God was able to place as many animals as He had created in the beginning and gave Noah the dimensions of the boat to accommodate them…

the bible never makes sense when you apply logic to it…
never take anything at face value…
also, not to mention no oxygen…
